SQA Engineer (Automation)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team. As an SQA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products by designing and executing tests, identifying issues, and collaborating with developers to resolve them.

Major Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and specifications.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and usability testing.
• Identify, log, and track software defects using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Collaborate with development, product, and design teams to understand requirements and resolve issues.
• Automate repetitive test cases using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Ensure test coverage through both manual and automated testing strategies.
• Monitor and report on the quality metrics of the software, including defect density, test coverage, and performance metrics.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning to ensure quality is embedded in the development process.
• Stay updated on emerging testing tools, trends, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years in software quality assurance and testing.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Postman, or JMeter.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java) for test automation.
• Experience with bug tracking and project management tools like Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of API testing and familiarity with tools like Postman or REST Assured.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests into deployment workflows.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
