Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Google Cloud Engineer to join our cloud infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing GCP-based infrastructure to support our applications and services. The ideal candidate is passionate about cloud computing, automation, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
Major Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Configure and manage GCP services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Kubernetes (GKE).
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications.
- Implement and maintain cloud security best practices, including IAM, firewall configurations, and encryption.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of cloud solutions with applications.
- Automate repetitive tasks using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Deployment Manager.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and non-production environments.
- Stay up-to-date with GCP advancements and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- 3โ5 years in cloud engineering, with 2+ years working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.
- Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (GKE).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or Pulumi.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Google Cloud Build.
- Knowledge of database technologies, including Cloud SQL, BigQuery, or Firestore.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Stackdriver, Prometheus, or ELK stack.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages (Python, Go, or Bash).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
